About The Program
This beginner-level photography program is designed for youth, providing a comprehensive introduction to the world of photography over four months.
The program includes a mix of lectures, hands-on activities, guest speakers, and a capstone project to ensure a well-rounded learning experience. Students will develop foundational photography and editing skills, learn to use industry-standard cameras and softwares, and create a portfolio of projects.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE
Participants will learn the core principles of photography, including composition, lighting, and exposure, to create visually compelling images. Additionally, they will explore the art of storytelling through photography, developing an eye for capturing meaningful moments.
TECHNICAL
SKILLS
Students will gain hands-on experience with camera settings such as ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, allowing them to shoot in manual mode with confidence. Post-processing techniques using industry-standard software will also be introduced to enhance and refine their images.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Youth will learn how to curate a strong portfolio that showcases their unique style and skills, preparing them for potential creative opportunities. The program will also provide insights into industry best practices, networking strategies, and career pathways in photography.
